Title RegistryOrder a title

Terms of service

Last updated 23 October 2026

These terms apply when you order from Title Registry (Title Registry). Please read them with our refunds and privacy pages.

What we do

Title Registry is an independent online service. We are not a government agency or a land registry. We order title searches from the state and territory land registries through an authorised information broker and deliver the registry's document to you unchanged.

Where a state allows it, we add a plain-English summary or Full Report. These are general information to help you read the title. They are not legal, financial or conveyancing advice, and the official title is the document to rely on.

Your order

You choose the property and confirm the title before paying. Prices include GST and the registry's fee. We hold the amount on your card when you order and charge it once the registry supplies the title. If it can't be supplied, we release the hold.

Most titles arrive within minutes. Some registries process searches manually, which can take up to 1 business day.

Registry information

Titles are supplied under the registries' own terms, which we pass on to you. In particular, you may not resell the information or use owner names and addresses for direct marketing. Title information is current at the time of the search only.

Western Australian titles are supplied as the official document only, and we don't keep a copy after emailing it to you.

Title Watch

Title Watch runs for 12 months from your order and doesn't renew unless you choose to. Alerts depend on the information the registries and our suppliers make available and may arrive some time after a dealing is lodged. It is a notification service, not insurance or a guarantee against fraud.

Our responsibility

We take care to order the right title and to describe it accurately. We aren't responsible for errors in the registry's own records, or for decisions made on our summaries without checking the official title or getting professional advice. Nothing in these terms excludes any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
